No—it is not a country. Yes—it is an outdoor clothing company. But, Patagonia is also the southernmost region of the south american continent.

Tales of its trophy-trout swim through the dreams of fly fishermen. Its glaciated mountains and granite spires draw climbers from around the globe. For three years this place tugged at my heart—relentlessly calling me to traverse its wild terrain. In January 2009, the dream was fulfilled.

The place was nuts! Our treks through the Patagonian mountains of Torres del Paine and Fitz Roy along the Chile-Argentine border did not disappoint our lofty expectations.
