~ Laos and Thailand ~

We speed toward China up the Mekong River between Burma and Laos, fly by the historic Golden Triangle at 50mph in a wooden flat-bottom speed boat, and stop at a village where a boy in a red shirt peirces through me with his eyes.

In another village, a woman with one sandal speaks to me about wisdom by smiling. In another village I dialogue in silence with several orange-clad buddhist monks, in another village children splash playfully in the stream with their pet water buffaloe, and in another village, I ride their water buffaloe.

We have 14 hours of HD video to edit from 13 days in southeast asia. My senses drank deeply of a beauty like I have never encountered before. I was our team's HD video guy, but I managed to make a few still images as well, and I'll share those with you here.
